N.Tolu was born in Goutroux (Belgium) in 1959. Self-educated multi-field artist, she also followed formations in drawing, painting, technique of the glacis, sculpture and ceramics in several academies of Brussels. In 2002, she creates the IDEAL QUATERS (c), concept of original design, based on squares of subliminal texts which she integrates in her works. The materials which she works are imaginary one, symbol, instinct, absurdity and humour. Discrete, sensitive and contemplative artist, her step is to question with emotion the images, the simplest objects and most familiar of her world, those which, consciously or unconsciously, belong to the commun run of the human ones. The poetic climate of her works invites to the meditation and awakes imagination. Colors, forms and materials are harmonized there in an indissociable whole. (Belgique)en 1959.Artiste pluridisciplinaire autodidacte ,elle a aussi suivi des formations en dessin, peinture,technique du glacis,sculpture et céramique dans plusieurs académies bruxelloises.En 2002,elle crée les IDEAL QUATERS (c), concept de design original, basé sur des carrés de textes subliminaux quasi-illisibles à l'oeil nu qu'elle intègre dans ses oeuvres.Les matériaux qu'elle travaille sont l'imaginaire,le symbole, l'instinct,l'absurde et l'humour.Artiste discrète,sensible et contemplative,sa démarche est de questionner avec émotion les images,les objets les plus simples et les plus familiers de son monde,ceux qui,consciemment ou inconsciemment, appartiennent au commun des humains.Le climat poétique de ses oeuvres invite à la méditation et réveille l'imagination.Couleurs,formes et matériaux s'y harmonisent en un tout indissociable.Ils rayonnent de présence et d'évidence,comme des portes ouvertes sur nous-mêmes.(Texte de François Deflandre)
